Like so many new mum's, Victoria Robson was looking for something that would enable her to juggle a successful career with the care of her 2 young children. She found the answer to this in 2005 when she opened her first activity café with the support of her husband Craig. Her children were the envy of all their friends as going to work with mummy really was a play session! From working with mummy they developed strong social skills and an awareness of responsibility. However, as they got older Victoria realised there was a lack of high quality childcare and after a huge amount of research and effort Playtime nursery was born in September 2008, even though it was the beginning of the world's worst financial crash and we were heading into a deep recession, we knew that we had one of the safest industries as many parents were forced to return to work, and due to our experience and knowledge we continued to work hard and grow to make Playtime the strong successful nursery we are today.

Playtimes' philosophy is to learn through play using the EYFS in an exciting, safe learning environment with a one of a kind Indoor physical adventure frame which enables them to develop their gross motor skills, confidence and keep active through play.

Victoria believes that the key to the success of the nursery is her team of carers who each have a real passion for the children and truly enjoy watching them grow and helping them to develop their own little personalities.

It was then time to expand their business and take it to the next level through franchising due to Playtimes achievement; they know the key to running a profitable children nursery is down to the commitment of the owner to make it a success.

A playtime nursery franchise

The Playtime nursery team have extensive knowledge covering all areas ranging from premises and their change of use (if required), to mandatory compliance with all Ofsted regulations, as well as health and safety and employment law. Our experience extends to 40 years combined know-how in all the vital areas to make your business a success. Due to the extensive skills of our team we offer a comprehensive training package with on-going support, as it is vital you are comfortable and have the knowledge to run your nursery successfully.

It is not essential you have previous childcare experience, you can choose how "hands on" you want to be in the day to day running of the nursery, if you prefer to employ a manager to lead your childcare team then we will support you in finding the right leader for your setting.

We are looking to extend the playtime family and due to this you will find our rates the most competitive in the franchise market place and we do not charge extensive upfront costs where other nursery franchises do, the aim is to make your nursery a long term investment for you and your family.

The overall outlay will obviously depend on premises costs, and the liquid capital requirement is typically from £20,000, with the balance funded by way of a bank business loan which will be subject to the franchisees circumstances.
